Residents of  Delph and Denshaw will know only too well about the pressure this part of Saddleworth is under.  The threat of giant wind turbines being constructed on Denshaw Moor. The attempt to close Delph Library or replace it with a book lending service staffed by volunteers. The withdrawl of road gritting services to many of our roads and transfering resources into urban areas. The large number of inappropriate housing developments that threaten to concrete over Saddleworth and destroy its distinct villages. And the general neglect and decline of so many of our our villages.
